Teen Resource and Referral Hot Line Teens Stopping Violence - Teaching Youth Tolerance
Lauana Chase Executive Director, Fresh Start Community Outreach Mini-Bio Our mission: To serve the community by providing quality child care for the children of teenage mothers. To help young people make better use of community resources by offering a wide range of services through a single program. To help teens develop a violence prevention protocol towards zero tolerance. I have been an educator for the last fifteen years in the Oakland and Hayward areas. I have worked with A Safe Place, which is a battered women's shelter, as Coordinator for Children's Services. I also worked as the Teen Education Coordinator for A Safe Place, servicing the Oakland Unified School District, helping to eliminate domestic and dating violence among youth through an aggressive curriculum. I am currently a Junior Advisor Administrator overseeing the youth program on Saturdays at Summit Medical Center. I am also currently volunteering at Children's Hospital in Oakland, working with Abused Children.
